Once upon a time...

Join us for this intimate evening of storytelling celebrating some of English literature’s Radical
Women. Uniquely combining literature, performance, chat and the odd tasty treat, we will introduce you to some new and little known literary fire-brands – side by side with such heroines of print as Rebecca West, Jeanette Winterson and, of course, Virginia Woolf.

StorySmiths events have enjoyed sell-out success at the Port Eliot, Brighton, and du Maurier literary festivals. During a stint at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Scotsman hailed them as “unforgettable” and storytelling Rebecca Mordan as “resplendent”.

The audience lapped up the opportunity to hear such wonderfully chosen, risque and fascinating literary pieces, wound together so charmingly by Rebecca…
