• An evening of literary nudges and Dickensian winks in Hendrick’s decadent steampunkesque marquee.  An education in parts but mostly the trio simply bounced off each other with great delight, spearing pomposity, indulging fun flirtatiousness, and concluding in a heartfelt audience singalong!

Rebecca Mordan, Artistic Director of Scary Little Girls, will be appearing at this Women’s History Month event alongside feminist stand-up suprema Kate Smurthwaite.  Women In Herstory promises to  “take you on a journey to tell a little about the other side of the history story.  Herstory will look at how women have used art and activism to campaign for social changes, challenge injustices, and make things happen.”

Through the medium of a glamorous, uke-led lecture, Rebecca will be looking at how women in blues and musical halls used humour and satire to flout the norms of their day and how folk and popular music artists took their message further still into the heart of the women’s lib movement!
