A new project from SLG that brings together the talents of photographer Becky Cavill, associate artist Joannah Tincey, and other members of the Scary Little Girls team. Using photographs to explore personal stories and the place that they have within our community with a view to developing an exhibition and installation piece.
We want to run a a community drama project, that uses character development exercises as a unique way of accessing stories, both real and imagined. We will use photographs from community archives and create our own images to both document and inspire the project. We will look at how individuals inhabiting a particular community change over time and the issues that bind them together. Over a series of 10 sessions we will develop a narrative and photographic exhibition for the general public.
We are currently seeking funding for this project.
