Visual Director and Designer Laura Trevail (The Society of Wonders) combines and contradicts the traditions of storytelling to incredible effect. The Countess Bathory, under permanent house arrest, surrounded by scandalous accusations of blood and perversion is told stories by the one servant remaining to her.
SLG are currently looking to commission a dynamic, humanistic and talented playwright to create a new piece of matrifocal theatre that follows the Irish women of the suffrage and nationalist movements through the Easter rising of 1916.
