Inspired by The Globe's Shakespearian Sonnet Walks, Scary Little Girls Productions bring the streets of Fowey alive with extracts from du Maurier's most atmospheric writing.
Hailed as a festival highlight when these walks first came to Fowey last year, we are excited to present them this year with a twist - these walks will take place in the evening and marry the best in Daphne's darkly humorous and downright chilling creations with the historical and night-time secrets of this seemingly quiet Cornish town...
In groups of only ten to fifteen of you at a time, you set off on a specially prepared route around the town. You have only each other and the carefully constructed printed guides to show you around - as you progress you will discover secrets you never knew Fowey was keeping!
At intervals throughout the route, performers stationed in the crowds begin their performance as your group draws near, engaging you into Daphne's world - her imagination comes to life in this performative treasure hunt around the town she loved.
