RAINBOW TEA PARTY
Hear the music, feel the love.
When we were given a monthly residency in the Oak Bar, Stoke Newington, it very quickly became irresistible to us to put on a music night with a unique attitude to its bands. Put simply, we love them; we love the music they make and the personality they exude; we love how it feels to sit in a dark room, submerged in sound, surrounded by other people sharing the same moment; and we love variety, that's why our music night vows to put on at least three highly varied acts on each night, from acoustic or jazz to riot grrrl or electro - and we top it all of with hours of quality quirkiness from the most lovable music geek of all time, DJ Stegosaurus.
We wanted this night to be a love-in between audience and acts, and each RTP aims to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere in which to enjoy superlative music.
If you heart geeks, if you like cake with your tunes, if you want a feel-good mini festival on a Friday night then join us and let us waltz you into our rainbow - we love bands and we love you!
Our residency is on the first Friday of the month and the Rainbow Tea Party alternates with Mother Mae I!, our wild, wilful and wicked Cabaret night, so check the website home page for which one is on this month.
