Scary Little Girls were involved in the consultancy meetings leading up to the Southbank Centre's Women of the World festival, which took place on 11th-13th March 2011.
From the festival's website: "WOW is a joyous celebration of the formidable strength and inventiveness of women. A groundbreaking annual festival that presents, recognises and celebrates women and acts as a conversation space for issues of all kinds."
On Friday 11th March Scary Little Girls founder Rebecca Mordan lead a WOW Bites session, something many other fantastic women did over the festival, including Annie Nightingale, Kate Mosse and Joanna Trollope. Rebecca discussed the battle girls and young women face to retain their individualism in the face of a hyper-sexualised media - and what we can do to help them come out on top.
